Interested in becoming part of Worthington Community Theatre? Here is what some of the cast of Bye, Bye Birdie had to say about their experience:

  • "I like that it's low key. There doesn't seem to be a lot of drama. I like the inclusion that happens among the production staff and cast."
  • "I think that it is a comfortable environment that has, in these last 2 years, allowed me to grow as a performer. I think that we all really care about each other and that the production staff is very dedicated to letting everyone have a moment on stage. Casting is fair. The people that are the WCT "veterans" that return every summer have in the past couple of years become a family. I love WCT; it's like a home and I am so glad to be a part of it.
  • "I liked the people that I came in contact with. The cast, director, crew and Board members were all terrific."
  • "I really liked how everyone involved in the show was really positive and encouraging. I made a lot of amazing friends out of this experience."

The History of Worthington Community Theatre

Founded in 1970, the Worthington Community Theatre was formed by a group of Worthington families who felt it would be fun to have a community theatre in their community. At 41 years of age, WCT is one of the oldest community theatres in central Ohio. Our members come from all walks of life and now live all over central Ohio.

Over the years our shows have consistently been recognized with honors by both the Ohio Community Theatre Association and the American Association of Community theatres. We are proud to be members of OCTA, AACT, the Worthington Arts Council, the Worthington Chamber of Commerce and the Theatre Roundtable.

Worthington Community Theatre is currently producing two family-oriented shows annually, a winter plan and a musical every summer. In the future, we hope to continue to add more shows to our season and are focusing on a variety of efforts that will continue to make WCT an integral part of the Worthington community.

We are curretnly housed at the McConnell Arts Center.
